Health Care Support Worker (Temporary)

Baptist Housing in Victoria is looking for Temporary Health Care Support Workers to serve our long term care and independent living Residents at The heights at Mt. View and Marrion Village.

Under the direction of the Administrator, Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional, performs a variety of non-direct and/or non-clinical healthcare supports to clients, residents, families, and/or visitors in long term care, assisted living and home settings in accordance with the established care plan and safety requirements.

Qualifications include the enrolment of a Health Career Access Program as a pathway to enter the health sector. Applicants must pass an English proficiency test; pass a criminal record check; and not be currently performing a HCA role and have not previously completed the HCA educational program in BC. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a warm personality and a great sense of humour.
