About The Role 

*This is a maternity leave coverage, temporary until March 2025 

As an LPN at Baptist Housing’s Evergreen Community, you’ll embrace person-centered care, contributing to comprehensive care planning and service delivery evaluation. In this temporary maternity leave coverage position, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of care for residents during this period. You’ll work closely with Registered Nurses (RNs) for complex cases and support the implementation of wellness programs under the guidance of RNs and managers. Your responsibilities will include a range of nursing interventions, such as assessments, medication administration, and wound care. You'll also ensure meticulous resident charting and utilize systems like Point-Click Care and EMAR to maintain accurate resident information. As a leader in our community, you’ll model Baptist Housing’s ministry values and demonstrate servant leadership by prioritizing the needs of others while fostering positive relationships with residents, colleagues, and families. Your work location is in the seaside city of White Rock. Our Evergreen community is at 1550 Oxford Street. 

Available Lines 

  • Temporary, Full-Time (FTE 1.006) – about 40.24 hours/week 

Requirements 

  • Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution 

  • Good standing and membership with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM) 

  • Current First Aid Certificate 

  • Current Food Safe Certificate

Your strong medical knowledge, including the aging process, cognitive function, and medication protocols, enables you to provide tailored care. Compensation & Benefits 

The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development. Level 1 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $32.84 - $41.35.
