About The Role
As the Activities Coordinator, you will:
Develop, implement, and assess therapeutic wellness programs for independent and assisted living residents, aligning with the Baptist Housing wellness model.
Collaborate with assisted living manager, chaplains, and activity assistants to create customized activities
Tailor programs to meet unique resident needs, foster community, and enhance holistic wellness
Reviews, assesses and adjusts activity plans regularly based on observation, Team Member input and attendance.
Coordinate and schedule internal programs and external outings
Prepare activity calendar considering activation, life skills, recreation, and social needs
Cultivate strong relationships with residents of the Oak Bay community and fellow team members.
Ensures department coverage and program delivery through effective scheduling and workload distribution.
Liaises with external agencies, recruiting resources for programs and events to meet Resident's needs.
Uphold Baptist Housing values as an ambassador for the organization.

Requirements
Two years of recent related experience coordinating recreation programs for seniors
Current certification in Emergency First Aid OFA level 1
Valid Class 4 (unrestricted) driver's license with clear driver’s abstract
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Having an activity aid certificate and/or diploma is considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring an hourly wage range of $28.00 - $30.00. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
