As the Clinical Lead you’ll be responsible for providing clinical oversight for nursing care team members, students and other department team members as required. 

 

 

About The Role 

*This is a temporary six month position for maternity leave coverage. 

Evening shifts with a 0.474 FTE

 

As the Clinical Lead, you will work closely with the clinical leadership team to develop and evaluate resident care programs, while supporting and monitoring quality improvement initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring that the department meets all reporting and documentation requirements, with a strong focus on resident safety. This includes monitoring for potential hazards, reporting incidents such as near misses or accidents, and identifying faulty equipment or unsafe conditions to the Director of Care or their designate. In collaboration with the Director of Care, you will help maintain high standards of nursing, medication management, and infection control. You will also assist with staffing by managing replacements for absences in accordance with the HEU and BCNU Collective Agreements when the Reception Clerk is unavailable, including maintaining the call-in log.

 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school, with current registration in good standing with the BCCNM

  • Experience in geriatric nursing is required, with a Gerontology certificate preferred.

  • Three years of recent relevant experience or a combination of training, supervisory, and/or educational experience

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation for this role is between $49.20 and $63.47 per hour, in accordance with the BCNU. You’ll be welcomed into an environment where support for you is prioritized.
