As the Director of Care, you’ll be responsible for the planning, coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all clinical resources, services, and programs at our Mill Creek Village Community in Kelowna.
About The Role
As the Director of Care, you will play a pivotal role in leading and inspiring a dedicated team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care that enhances the quality of life for our residents. You will oversee the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and future development of all clinical programs, ensuring they meet the physical, emotional, social, intellectual, and spiritual needs of residents. Working closely with the Administrator and key partners, you will ensure that care programs align with our person-centred Wellness Model and support resident autonomy, dignity, and privacy. In this role, you will lead strategic planning, monitor quality improvement initiatives, and contribute to the accreditation process. You will also provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining high standards of nursing practice and ensuring compliance with professional, legal, and organizational requirements. Through your dedication and vision, you will help shape a culture that promotes innovation, growth, and excellence in resident care.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized school of nursing
- Current registration in good standing with BCCNM
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma; or degree in Health Care Administration
- Coursework in Leadership and Management
- Two years nursing experience in gerontology
- Five years Health Care Management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring an annual salary range between $105,000 to $130,000. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
