You are detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing your time, workload, and conflicting priorities well. You value learning and are always willing to embrace new and innovative changes to promote health and wellness using a resident-directed approach. You come with a bachelor’s degree in nursing with current registration in good standing with BCCNM.  A minimum of five years experience in leading a mid-size or large team either in a seniors’ independent living, hospitality, or service setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. Training in gerontology and a degree in healthcare administration is also an asset.

About The Role

You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, supervision, and future development of all programs and activities, as well as providing leadership and direction in all aspects of resident care, including planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of department goals, systems, programs, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for budget oversight and analysis, collaborating with the Director of Operations, and contributing to the organization's strategic planning. You’ll be a liaison with other healthcare professionals and community agencies, overseeing a team, ensuring standards of nursing practice comply with professional, legal, and organizational requirements, and fostering and maintaining positive, collaborative relationships with the support services departments, physicians, and other health professionals. You’ll also ensure the management of appropriate fiscal, human, and material resources and establish, influence and support a culture of health and safety. You’ll model our organizational values and be a consistent example of servant leadership by serving the needs of residents, team members, families, and partners. This is a full-time position, and you'll report to the administrator.  Inglewood is on the verge of defining a new standard for seniors care in Canada. A proposed redevelopment of the Inglewood property will result in a vibrant, intergenerational community designed to exceed the highest standards in communicable disease prevention to keep our seniors safe.
