As the Hospitality Manager, you will lead the delivery of hospitality services at Baptist Housing, overseeing areas like dining and housekeeping and leading our partnership with the outsourced hospitality provider. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in financial management, operational efficiency, and team collaboration to ensure top-tier hospitality services for residents and clients. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing multi-site operations and will be flexible with travel across regions. 

About The Role 

*This is a remote working opportunity with a preference for candidates located in the Lower Mainland. 

We are seeking an experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to lead and oversee all aspects of our contracted hospitality services. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll be the key ambassador of Baptist Housing’s hospitality vision, fostering positive relationships and aligning our outsourced hospitality services with our values. This role ensures that high-quality dining and housekeeping services are provided seamlessly across our Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Long-Term Care communities. The Hospitality Operations Manager will collaborate closely with our hospitality partner to maintain service standards and drive excellence in resident experience. 

In this position, you will perform comprehensive operational audits, including food and cleaning audits, and oversee financial performance across the portfolio. Leading with a servant heart, you will work directly with our hospitality partners to address any concerns or issues that arise, ensuring prompt resolution. Leading regular hospitality management meetings with a diverse range of stakeholders, you will ensure that hospitality operations consistently meet service level agreement standards. Your leadership will enhance our residents’ experience and bring our vision to life through exceptional service delivery. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Financial Management: Analyze and manage complex budgets across multiple properties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 

  • Operational Oversight: Supervise hospitality services, including dining, housekeeping, and external collaborations, across a diverse portfolio of properties. 

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality. 

  • Team Leadership: Provide coaching to site managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. 

  • Site Visits: Conduct regular visits to ensure quality and service standards are consistently met. 

  • Compliance & Audits: Oversee adherence to operational and financial standards, conducting regular audits as needed. 

 

Requirements 

  • Proven experience in hospitality management across multiple properties or large-scale operations. 

  • Strong financial and budgeting acumen, with a track record of managing complex budgets effectively. 

  • Demonstrated ability to streamline labor schedules and optimize operational costs. 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead tough conversations and provide actionable coaching. 

  • Flexibility to travel extensively across regions. 

  • Certification with CSNM (Canadian Society of Nutrition Management) is an asset. 

  • Experience with resident-focused care or service delivery is a plus.

  • Travel Readiness: Willing and able to travel extensively, engaging directly with on-site teams and overseeing operations. 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

We offer a competitive compensation package, featuring a yearly salary range between $90,000 and $105,000. Your comprehensive benefits include employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, along with a generous four weeks of vacation. Additionally, we provide RRSP matching contributions and support for your ongoing professional development.
