About The Role 

*Temporary Role - until March 31, 2025  

As a Human Resources (HR) Assistant, you will assist with HR functions and deliver exceptional customer service to residents, team members, and external contacts. Your responsibilities will include administrative support and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will coordinate onboarding for new hires, assist with document processing, and contribute to various projects, ensuring a positive environment that reflects Baptist Housing’s values. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Exemplify Baptist Housing’s core values: Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Stewardship, Teamwork, and Fun. 

  • Assist with data entry, filing, document creation, and maintaining records. 

  • Support recruitment processes, including interviews, reference checks, and onboarding. 

  • Help plan and coordinate special events and safety initiatives. 

  • Provide excellent customer service. 

  • Foster a culture of health and safety by promoting safe work practices and reporting hazards. 

 

 

Requirements 

  • High School diploma.  Some post-secondary education preferred. 

  • Prior experience providing administrative support. 

  • One to three years’ experience in Human Resources.  Experience in healthcare or seniors living an asset. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

  • Strong editing skills with keen attention to detail. 

  • Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

You are detail-oriented, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and handle day-to-day activities with diplomacy and professionalism. 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

We offer an hourly wage of $29.00 and an environment where support for you is prioritized. As this is a temporary role, no additional benefits are provided.
