About The Role 

*Temporary Role - until April 30, 2025 

In this role, you will support both team members and leaders, helping create a compassionate, collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. As a trusted advisor, you will coach and guide managers through team member performance, labor relations issues, recruitment, and disability management, always handling sensitive matters with professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.  You’ll help drive meaningful change and support collaborative team relationships across the community, fostering a healthy and respectful culture and building team resilience and wellbeing. This temporary position is based at our Evergreen campus in White Rock, B.C., where you will enjoy a serene, beautiful coastal environment, surrounded by a welcoming atmosphere.  Our Evergreen campus is comprised of three seniors living communities: long term care, assisted living, and supportive seniors housing. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop strong relationships with team members throughout the community. 

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusivity, creating a work environment that reflects Baptist Housing’s core values of compassion, honesty, respect, innovation, stewardship, teamwork, and fun. 

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, guiding them through complex HR challenges while maintaining confidentiality. 

  • Provide guidance and coaching on team member relations, performance, disability management and recruitment. 

  • Drive engagement initiatives and support organizational development to promote team effectiveness and employee satisfaction. 

  • Support recruitment efforts, ensuring a seamless and inclusive hiring process. 

  • Ensure HR policies and practices are aligned with provincial legislation and Baptist Housing’s values. 

  • Analyze HR data to provide actionable insights that inform decision-making and improve organizational outcomes.

Requirements 

  • Minimum three years' Human Resources experience, preferably within healthcare or non-profit settings. 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field; CPHR designation an asset. 

  • Proven ability to develop healthy, collaborative relationships and foster a positive, supportive work culture while ensuring effective operations. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable demeanor. 

  • Demonstrated experience in labor relations. 

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time well amidst changing priorities. 

  • Ability to navigate and manage change, adapting quickly to evolving needs. 

  • Critical thinking and practical problem-solving skills, with a focus on achieving results.

Compensation & Benefits 

We offer an hourly wage of $35.00 and a supportive environment where your personal and professional well-being is our priority. This is a temporary role so group benefits are not provided.
