About The Role 

Join our compassionate team of Licensed Practical Nurses at Baptist Housing’s beautiful Kelowna communities. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering person-centred care, working with a dedicated team to improve the quality of life for our residents. As an LPN, you’ll: 

  • Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide comprehensive care and support for complex cases. 

  • Take pride in administering medications, conducting assessments, and creating individualized care plans for residents. 

  • Promote wellness through innovative programs that enhance both physical and emotional well-being. 

  • Utilize cutting-edge technology like Point-Click Care and EMAR to maintain accurate, up-to-date records, ensuring the highest standard of care. 

  • Lead by example, demonstrating our ministry values and servant leadership principles to build trust and positive relationships with residents, their families, and your team.

Requirements 

  • Graduate of a recognized school of nursing. 

  • Current registration in good standing with BCCNM. 

  • Licensed Practical Nursing Diploma or Registered Nurse designation. 

  • Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred. 

  • Availability to work consistent shifts over the weekend.

Residents feel valued and heard in your presence, thanks to your attentive listening and genuine care. Your medical knowledge encompasses not only the normal aging process but also the complexities of altered cognitive function and age-related diseases, allowing you to tailor care strategies accordingly. You possess a deep understanding of medication administration protocols, standard precaution techniques, outbreak management, and pain management strategies, among other essential elements of healthcare delivery. Your collaborative nature has earned you the respect of your colleagues, who see you as a valuable team member. You bring a sense of humor and a fun-loving spirit to the care environment, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.  

Compensation and Benefits 

The Master Collective Compensation detailed in the Provincial BC Nurses Collective Agreement encompasses competitive vacation allowances along with extended health and dental benefits, a municipal pension plan, an employee and family assistance program, and opportunities for professional development. Level 3 LPNs are compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $32.84-41.35 

*Relocation assistance is available for successful out of town applicants
