As the Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies to elevate our Independent living Community of Shannon Oaks’ brand visibility and community engagement. 

About The Role 

We are looking for a compassionate, innovative, and strategic Marketing Manager to join our team at Shannon Oaks in Vancouver. In this pivotal role, you will lead our marketing efforts to maintain and enhance the occupancy of our vibrant Independent and Assisted Living communities. Combining your creativity, relationship-building expertise, and strategic mindset, you will develop and execute marketing initiatives, strengthen referral networks, and ensure prospective residents feel welcomed and cared for every step of the way. 

As the Marketing Manager, you will oversee advertising, community outreach, and public relations while fostering connections with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and other referral sources. From crafting marketing strategies to guiding prospective residents through tours and application processes, you will be instrumental in sharing the Baptist Housing story with the community. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Marketing Leadership & Strategy: 

  • Organize events, luncheons, and tours to attract residents and families.  

  • Perform market analysis to keep Baptist Housing ahead of trends. 

  • Lead local PR efforts to enhance visibility and community connections. 

  • Develop and execute creative marketing strategies across print, radio, and digital platforms. 

Referral Development & Community Engagement: 

  • Build and maintain referral networks with healthcare professionals, social workers, pastors, and community groups. 

  • Represent Baptist Housing at events to promote awareness and partnerships. 

  • Foster relationships through strategic sponsorships and collaborations. 

Resident Onboarding & Relationship Management: 

  • Oversee inquiries, tours, and applications for a welcoming resident experience. 

  • Manage waiting lists and residency agreements with new residents. 

  • Effectively communicate community features and benefits to potential residents and families. 

Reporting & CRM Management: 

  • Leverage CRM tools to track leads, measure performance, and generate reports. 

  • Contribute to progress updates and annual budget planning. 

Team Collaboration & Professional Growth: 

  • Work with the VP of Marketing and Communications to align strategies with organizational objectives. 

  • Stay current with industry best practices through ongoing education and events. 

 

Requirements 

  • Post-secondary education in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or equivalent experience. 

  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or related fields, preferably in Senior Living, Healthcare, Hospitality, or Real Estate Sales. 

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience in relevant industries. 

  • At least 3 years in a leadership role. 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong writing and editing abilities tailored to diverse audiences. 

  • Proven ability to drive sales and foster lasting relationships. 

  • Strong understanding of digital marketing platforms, SEO principles, and social media management. 

  • Proficiency with tools like Canva, Mailchimp, Google Analytics, and CRM systems. 

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance multiple projects and meet deadlines. 

  • Critical thinker with problem-solving expertise.  

  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and work independently or collaboratively. 

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build strong relationships across teams and stakeholders. 

  • A positive, enthusiastic attitude with a genuine passion for serving seniors. 

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for work-related travel.

Compensation & Benefits 

This is a temporary position with an hourly range between $36.00 and $38.50. You will be welcomed into a warm and supportive environment. As this is a temporary role, benefits are not included.
