About the Role 

As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to seniors in our residential community. Your main responsibility will be assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, and mealtimes, while promoting a safe and supportive environment. You will follow personalized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each resident, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. 

 

Beyond providing physical assistance, you will engage with residents, fostering meaningful connections and contributing to their emotional and social well-being. Working collaboratively with a dedicated care team, you will also ensure that residents feel respected and valued. By maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with nursing staff, you help ensure that each resident’s care plan is followed and continuously improved. 

 

Abbotsford is a vibrant city that harmoniously combines agriculture and culinary experiences, the beauty of nature and a diverse community. Hallmark on the Park, our three-story assisted living care community is nestled in an idyllic lake and park setting within Abbotsford. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist residents with personal care, grooming, dressing, mobility, and mealtimes. 

  • Follow and contribute to individualized care plans to support residents' health and dignity. 

  • Maintain a safe, clean-living environment while adhering to infection control protocols. 

  • Document updates in care records and promptly report changes in residents' health to the nursing team. 

  • Help new residents transition smoothly and promote resident engagement in community activities. 

 

Requirements 

  • Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program 

  • Post-Secondary Medication Administration Course (must-have)

  • High school diploma 

  • Current Food Safe certificate 

  • Current WHIMIS certification 

  • Current registration is in good standing with the BC Assistant Registry

Compensation and Benefits    

You will be welcomed in a warm and supportive work environment, with an hourly wage range between $27.92 - $29.60.
