About The Role 

*The ideal candidate is available for all shifts, including nights and weekends. 

As a Resident Services Assistant, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at providing exceptional customer service to residents and visitors. Your role will involve managing inventory, processing orders, and handling sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality. You will take charge of the reception area, ensuring residents are well attended to in the dining room. Observing and reporting any changes in resident behavior will be a crucial aspect of your duties, along with maintaining a confidential resident database. Responding to emergencies and routine inquiries from residents, family members, and team members will be within your comfort zone. Beyond your primary tasks, you'll also lend support to other departments and assist with various projects as required. As an ambassador for Baptist Housing, you'll embody our values, fostering positive interactions with residents, team members, and visitors. Upholding and promoting our brand will be at the core of your endeavours, elevating our reputation and driving awareness among relevant stakeholders. This part-time casual position demands flexibility in availability, as you'll be expected to cover all shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Reporting to the Resident Services Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our cherished residents and guests. Vancouver is known for its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, and diverse population. Your work location, Shannon Oaks, is our all-inclusive premier independent living in South Vancouver, located on Waverley Avenue. 

Requirements 

  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Service-oriented approach, excelling both independently and as part of a team 

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support seniors and families 

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage time and priorities effectively 

  • Excellent communication and writing skills for producing professional documents 

  • Commitment to learning and adapting to change 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for handling diverse administrative tasks 

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in administrative support, hospitality, or customer service 

  • Valid First Aid Certificate ensuring the safety and well-being of residents

Compensation & Benefits
