I want to volunteer how and where do I start? Follow the given instructions to apply using the LINK provided. A Volunteer Coordinator will contact you with further instructions on required onboarding documentation and how to connect with your Baptist Housing community.

What is the minimum age to volunteer? Generally 15 years of age, unless in specific supervised program. Some positions and activities can accommodate younger children as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

What is the time commitment for volunteering? Depending on your availability, you can choose to sign-up for a special event or something on a consistent and on-going basis, whether it be weekly, by-weekly, monthly. We appreciate you being consistent.

Do I need to have a police check to volunteer? Who pays for it? Yes, ALL Volunteers require a Police Check as you are volunteering with vulnerable group such as seniors. We can only accept a copy of CRC results forwarded directly by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General / Criminal Record Review Program. Our organization will submit request on your behalf for CRC. You will be free from any fees.

Can I volunteer with my family and friends? Yes. You can choose to sign-up for the same volunteer activity if more than one Volunteer is required or if there are opportunities as special events that can accommodate groups.

Are there opportunities to complete my high school community hours? Yes. On your application, please specify that you are student and need to fulfill community hours. Our Volunteer Coordinator will work with you to find an appropriate opportunity for you.
