How long have you been involved with this art process at Baptist Housing?

Even before I came to Shannon Oaks, I've been involved with music and poetry for 50 plus years.

Who do you enjoy sharing art with?

I do it mostly for my own enjoyment but I did run a creative writing club at Shannon Oaks for about 5 years.  It was well attended and we enjoyed each others' work.

Why do you like being an artist?

I like being an artist because it gives me a feeling of personal accomplishment and enjoyment of creating.  I also like that it brings joy to others.

Who first inspired or taught you this craft?

It was self-initiated from childhood onwards. 

Any advice for future artists?

Always try.  If you feel a desire to do something, do it!  You'll never know until you try.
