How long have you been involved with this art process at Baptist Housing?

I have been doing floral art for over 6 years here at Shannon Oaks. I started as soon as I moved in.

Who do you enjoy sharing or making art with?

Anybody who loves flowers. As long as there are flowers and a purpose, I enjoy it. I think flowers are beautiful and meant to be enjoyed by all and shared with others.

Why do you like being an artist?

I like being a floral artist, to have the opportunity to arrange flowers and create according to design principles. It is a passion that I adore.

Who first inspired or taught you this craft?

My Mother awakened my love for flowers. I grew up watching her garden and enjoy flowers.

Any advice for future artists?

Observe the natural way that flowers grow. My first flower arranging teacher told me that: every flower should have a chance to stand up and be counted.
