Baptist Housing Stuffs Their Bus for Kelowna Women's Shelter

On Wednesday, May 29th Baptist Housing stuffed their bus in support of Kelowna Women’s Shelter. The community was invited to bring their donations to any one of Baptist Housing's Kelowna campuses to help 'stuff the bus'. Donations were accepted at Village at Smith Creek, Village at Mill Creek and Sun Pointe Village. The women's shelter is currently in need of the following items: ·
- Non-perishable food items (canned food, pasta, cereal, peanut butter, tuna, coffee, juice boxes, sugar, mayo, margarine, crackers, cookies)
- Cleaning supplies, liquid laundry soup, paper towels, toilet paper, napkins
- Glad or Ziploc reusable plastic containers, plastic wrap, foil wrap
- Garbage bags and paper products
- Bath Towels/Wash clothes (new or gently used)
- Double and Single Sheets (new or gently used)
- Double and Single plastic mattress protectors with zippers or elastic on sides (new or gently used)
- Pillows and pillow protectors (new or gently used)
- Alarm clocks, watches, batteries, coffeemakers, kettles
- Kitchen utensils, non-stick pots and pans (new or gently used)
- Cutlery (new or gently used)
- School and office supplies especially pens, white out, file folders, labels, scotch tape and post it notes, crayola markers, crayons, pencil crayons
- For Babies: formula, food, diapers, wipes, monitors
*THEY ARE NOT IN NEED OF CLOTHING AT THIS TIME* THEY CANNOT ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
- Mattresses and box springs
- Large Appliances
- OLD electronics: TVs, computers
- microwaves, typewriters, stereos, etc
- Baskets, sewing and craft items
- Baby items: cribs and mattresses, highchairs, swings, car seats, strollers
