Easter Message
Dear Friends of Baptist Housing,
Easter Celebrations are upon us! As a faith based organization, Baptist Housing celebrates Easter as a Christian Celebration. While we don’t want to miss taking time to focus on the significance of Easter, our priority is to take care of those who call Baptist Housing home. We know that includes your family members and friends. We want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to provide them with the best possible care. In fact, caring for others is how we live out the significance of what Easter means to us.
Our hope is that you also will take some time to reflect on the good news story of Christ’s example, death, resurrection and hope which is motivated by God’s great love for all of us. The Christian faith remembers Christ’s death on Friday and believes three days later he rose from his death in what is referred to as his resurrection.
Whatever your circumstances, whether you know this good news story or are considering how it might apply to you, we hope you will take some time to ponder the meaning of faith/belief at this Easter season. Perhaps you will take time to connect with an on-line Easter service this weekend since many churches are providing services online.
We also hope you’ll find some creative ways to celebrate and connect with others, perhaps virtually to have fun, or by enjoying bunnies, chicks, eggs and other Easter traditions you may have. Perhaps you can bang a pot or ring a bell at 7 PM in appreciation for all of those who are on the front lines at Baptist Housing and throughout our world. I know they appreciate this display of support.
My prayer is that you stay safe and healthy as you celebrate Easter this weekend,
Ray Saucy
