Providence Health Care invites you to a free screening of Being Mortal in recognition of Hospice Palliative Care Week on Monday, May 15 at Vancity Theatre. The documentary follows renowned writer and surgeon Atul Gawande as he investigates the practice of caring for the dying and explores how doctors can improve methods of caring for patients towards the end of life. Stay for a post-screening Q&A with a panel of palliative care experts from across Providence Health Care, who will be on-hand to answer questions and engage in a discussion around death and dying, and how palliative care supports patients and families on this journey.
